Get Into Teaching Information Session
Want to know more about teaching? Our online information events are designed to give you all the necessary information to kickstart your career into teaching.
Whether you're a final year student, recent graduate, or career changer, our sessions will give you an insight into what teaching is, the different qualifications and routes available, primary vs secondary routes, and how student finance works. We want to give you as much information as possible so that you can leave the session informed about whether teaching is the right step for you!
We'll also talk you through our programmes and pathways, including how placements work, the structure of training, and what being a trainee on our programme looks like.

Prefer a 1-1 meeting? In this 30-minute chat, we talk you through our courses, our expectations, and why our SCITT route could be the right choice for you to kickstart your new career. We will also answer any questions you may have about applying for teacher training or our courses.

Not sure where to start with your personal statement, or unsure what information you need to provide?
Getting started with your application can be the hardest part. That's why Prestolee SCITT will be running regular online application workshops to help you hit the ground running with your teacher training application.
Sessions will cover content such as what we're looking for in a good personal statement, how to utilise AI, requirements for employment history and qualifications, and what is required from applicants in terms of references.
